How To Make Yeast Garland (Easy Method)|Food|cake|recipes|tart ?

Yeast Garland
This plaited garland is filled with walnuts and raisins, a tasty combination. Grease and dust the base of a springform (measuring minimum 26cm in diameter) Remove the rim. Keep ready
Yeast Dough:

(1) 500g white flour and 2 teaspoons dry yeast    

(2) 200ml milk  

(3) 100g salted butter

(4) 100g sugar    

(5) 1/4 teaspoon salt          

(6) 2eggs, marginally beaten
(1) place into a big bowl and mix

(2) pour into a saucepan and heat up to 60c

(3) add to the milk

(4)add and dissolve, remove from heat)

(5) add

(6) add and blend these fixings in with flour and yeast to make a delicate dough, knead on a floured surface until smooth 

Place the dough back into the bowl, cover with a damp cloth and leave it in a warm place until risen to twice its size
Filling:

(1) 150g ground walnuts,100g sugar,2 tablespoons apricot jam,50g soaked raisins,50g dried apricots

(2) 1 tablespoon cream   
(1) soak for 15 minutes and cut into stripes 

(2) mix all these ingredients

Roll out dough on a flour-dusted working place into a rectangular shape measuring 60*30cm. cut 3 stripes of 10*60cm.
Place the filling into the middle of each stripe,wet the edges with water or egg white and roll up sideways.join the rolls on the upper end and make a plait (see pictures below)


put a beaker or an empty tin in the center of the base of a springform and place the plait around it to form a garland. Leave the garland for another hour then brush the plait with egg yolk. The garland should now be ready for the oven. Preheat the oven 10 minutes beforehand.


Bake: For about 60 minutes or until light brown in a medium-hot oven. when fully cooked remove from oven and brush the top with some apricot jam to give it a shine.
